We've been sweating through a heat wave over here in the south-east of Australia. The 2 provincial capital cities (Melbourne & Adelaide) have had 5 days in a row of over 41 deg.C (106 deg on old scale). Peaking at 45 deg.C. Hottest spots in the world I believe. 
Search for 'MQ apar heat' did not return anything, so I guess we are safe.
I'm heading to the beach for the weekend.

so you want to fry as well as boil then?
Having worked in Saudi where it gets to 50C in summer I know what it is like. If I were there I'd be heading for deep shade and spending a lot of time doing nothing apart from dreaming of my retirement.

I remember arriving in Dharan Airport in October and waiting on the tarmac for them to switch off the jet engines that were blowing this warm air - only to find out it was the wind.
Got through my first winter walking about in t-shirts and shorts while everyone else was in balaclavas and jackets as the temp had dropped to under 20 some days. By the end of the summer I and my mates were strolling back to the canteen, saying "it's started to cool down, can't be more than 45 now" (our high point in the summer was 52 degrees) While a colleague who had recently arrived from the UK was standing next to us melting into a pool.
And the following winter I froze my b*lllocks off in the chilly twenty degree cold. |

We eat them both. If you go to a fish and chip shop (pretty much in the English tradition) and ask for fish (without specifying the type) you will be given Flake (which is Shark, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flake_(fish) ). Kangaroo steak and sausage is available in most supermarkets and butchers. Emu and Crocodile is also sometimes available. Yum Yum.
