Hi All,

I want to save a message in 1 queue to an xml file. I used the below command.
qload -i<queuename> -f<filename.xml>

But the xml file generated is in hex format. Can anyone help me modify this command to generate a proper xml file?
Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Jithin

qload loads / unloads messages to a file, to a flat file. From the download site you can read:

"allows the user to copy or move the contents of a queue, its messages, to a file" ... "This file has a specific format understood by the utility, but is human-readable, so that it can be updated in an editor before being reloaded"

Can I ask what made you think you could unload a queue unto XML format ? I'm not aware that there is even a defined format for what a queue might look like in XML.

Cheers,
Paul.

Is the message in the queue in XML format or are you looking for some utility to dump the MQMD and message data in XML format?

The messge in the queue is in xml format. Is it possible to unload the data in queue only to a flat file? or Is it possible to export the data as xml?

Thanks,
Jithin

WMQ is agnostic (doesn't care) about the application data content of your messages. You may put character data, binary, jpg, pdf, xml, mpg, whatever. So, unless you are using a utility that performs conversions or translations, what you MQPUT, is what you MQGET.
