Hello All.. I have two qmgrs in MQ version 7.0.1.5 runing in samq server. When i try to run saveqmgr, for one of the qmgr this fails with the below error:
Compiled for Websphere MQ V7.0.1.0 on Oct 9 2011
SAVEQMGR V6.1.4.0
Requesting attributes of the queue manager...
(mqutils.c) No reply msg, make sure command server is started (strmqcsv qmgr-name)

QMNAME(TTMTS1) STATUS(RUNNING)
CONNS(5

CMDSERV(RUNNING)
CHINIT(RUNNING) STANDBY(NOPERMIT)

I dont see any entries in the AMQ log files to trouble shoot.

WIll be glad if any one can help me here.
I've also restarted the TTMTS1 qmgr, but same error.

Does MQExplorer work to talk to the queue manager in question?

Have you already contacted the maintainer of saveqmgr for additional troubleshooting assistance?

This qmgr runs in AIX server. We have an web based tool (in house developed) to connect and view MQ objects & this works fine.

No I have not contacted any one. I thought i could give it a try to resolve it..

Add the -d or --diagnostics flag with a value of 21.

See what comes out up to the point of error.

Is it in any way possible that the command server is listening to an alternate queue from the default one? Particularly older levels of MQ on zOS may use a different queue.

The "no reply message" is only issued when the MQGET on the dynamic reply queue returns a 2033 (MQRC_NO_MSG_AVAILABLE).
