What has triggering got to do with it?
If you define a backout queue, what happens to the message once it's in the backout queue?
If you don't define a backout queue, what happens to the message?
Answer those 2 questions in reference to your site & design standards, then you'll know if it's a good practice or not.

Even if you define a back out queue, the application still has to inquire the queue to find out what the back out queue is and then check the back out count against the back out threshold and then put the message (probably want to setall on the context) to the back out queue. What will the application do if it cannot put the message on the back out queue?
WMB will do all that by default and put it on the DLQ with a DLQ header (of some sort), if it cannot put it on the BOQ.
At this point if none of that works, you need to trout them  |
