Hi

I have a requirement where I need to build a job in As400 which monitors few queues getting the name from Data Area for their depth. If the depth is Zero no issues but when it is more than 0 we need to send mail to some user.
While searching for this I came across a command RUNMQSC.
Please help me understanding this command and what and how are the parameters used.

Thanks for help.

See page 350 : ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/software/integration/wmq/docs/V7.0/amqzag11.pdf

Be sure to print out the PDF file a couple of times so you have several copies. Take one home for your night stand.

I would be very interested in 'their' justification for needing that information, especially as uncommitted messages count toward depth.

I suggest that you contact an AS/400 MQ specialist in your organization. They will set you on the right path.
Queue Depth will greater than zero at some point in time for normal operation of all queues.
MQ can be configured to start a program when the queue depth exceeds a certain percentage. I think you need to do some more learning and reading about MQ....
