I followed the IBM's article of Configuring and administering multi-instance brokers for high availability in IBM WebSphere Message Broker - Part 2 using three separate RHEL VMs.

http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/websphere/library/techarticles/1108_gupta/1108_gupta.html

When I tried to test the configuration using their scenarios 1 and 2, I turned off one of the active QMs, but the other active QM / broker didn't process any messages. Instead the clustering waited for the passive QM to come up and process the rest of the messages.

I'm wondering if anyone has ever followed the above article and got it working.

PS. I also followed the Part 1 to set up the NFS server and it's running fine.

Are you sure the IBM.ESB.IN queue has both DEFBIND & CLWLUSEQ set as described in the article on both of the queue managers?

Yes, I copied the following line in both QMs

Code:
DEFINE QLOCAL (IBM.ESB.IN) DEFBIND (NOTFIXED) CLWLUSEQ (ANY) CLUSTER (IBMESBCLUSTER)

By the way we're running MQ v7.5 and WMB v8 on RHEL 6.3.
