Hello,
Lately, I've occasionally seen some odd behavior in our FTE environment. We have a fair number of stores that are each receiving files via FTE every day. Every now and then, one of our stores has a severe network issue (bad switch, power outage, etc...), which causes the file to be delayed. Most of the time, this isn't a problem, as the file gets loaded into the MQ environment and patiently waits for both agents to become available.
However, we have seen a few instances where the file gets PARTIALLY delivered (252KB out of a 457KB file) and the file at the SOURCE is turned into a 0 byte file... so all of the content has been removed, but only a *.PART file has been delivered.
The file at the SOURCE can't be deleted, as the agent has it locked. Nothing shows up at all in the Transfer Log.
Log files at the destination agent show reflect the connectivity problems we were having (2059)

FTE Version at the SOURCE is 7.0.4.2, and at the store is 7.0.2.1.

So, we are seeing a PARTIAL file delivery at the destination, and a file LOCKED and the content REMOVED at the SOURCE.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

So if this is actually what you're seeing, then it represents a significant failure of the product to meet it's own requirements.

You should open a PMR, at sev1.

However, you should also verify that there isn't a renamed or moved file in a slightly different location at the source that represents the missing contents.

You should also verify that any necessary file system requirements for FTE are being met by the source locations.
