Hello, I was just wondering if anyone can give me any general information; lack of features; pitfalls; etc. of using MQSeries with a JSP/Servlet engine ala WebSphere Standard Ed. 3.5.3...the reason I'm asking is my company is making a custom app for a client that uses WebSphere Advanced Edition, and the custom app components that utilize MQSeries are in the form of EJBs; now the client is looking to retain WAS Standard Ed. instead of upgrading and I'd just like to know what exactly we'd "lose" (if anything) in the context of MQSeries only if not using EJBs? Thanks in advance.

Well we have successfully incorporated a solution using MQSeries . We had some legacy CICS application on OS/390 at the back end , which we web enabled using MQ Series. We used Weblogic 5.1 as the application server running on a solaris box.

However we did not use EJBs . Instead we used JavaBeans and in many places we wrote MQSeries client codes inline .
