The OP stated that a CCDT and self-signed certificate were supplied, and that "...they have specified the env. variables on windows, for the location of cert, mq env. variables , they have also created the key.jks/.kdb where they are put in that cert and specified the location in env. variables, set the env. variables for .tab file and its path...".

Please actually read the posts before adding to them, so as not to muddy the waters any more than they may be already.

So get them to try amqscnxc TEST and see what happens...

Yes...I've asked them but let see what they give now...
Thanks exerk.

Application team now have tried using SSLSample program.
And it worked for them. Though before that they have started from beginning i.e. installed their java (cause they were facing some javax/jms errors; dont know why they did it again !) , created their side key.jks and put in the cert again and set the env. variables again.
They also referred couple of links.. though those are result of some research/tests/other forum !
Code:
http://www3.sympatico.ca/n.rieck/docs/mqseries_client_on_openvms.html

Code:
http://www.tek-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=967643&page=7%20%28http://www.tek-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=967643&page=7%29

But anyways..it worked for them.. and at the mq server end..I did nothing since then.
And I wish they won't come back with some weird issues !

Then there is a better than even chance that the previous configuration was in error.

Yes, I believe so that they had something somewhere wrong.
I asked them what all changes you guys have done and in what sequence/order so that It would be easier for me to analyze the cause of the problem they faced, but I got the details from them not in any sequence/order
