hi experts
i am new to websphere message broker v6.0,i have a doubt that am i need to install DB2 for
1)message broker domain and
2)configuration manager

you need DB2 for broker as a database... however Db2 can be replaced by oracle or sybase or any other supported database..

DB2 is not required for configuration manager or message broker domain...
