It seems that a thread is being created by MQSeries behind my back. It is being created in the current ThreadGroup, which is fine, but it is created without a name (i.e. it gets the Java default name of Thread-n). Is there anyway I can specify the name for this thread.

Thanks

May I ask, why is it important that a thread be named? If MQSeries is doing something wrong, I can offer to take this forward as a defect or requirement.

This is related to my previous post regarding the multi threads... BTW.. That problem is circumvented by putting in a delay (no clue why that worked). Anyway, this app can have many threads, and I have implemented a command to list them all, this can be used for debuggin, and/or educational purposes. All of the threads created by our app are named, and I was supprised when I saw the unnamed threads. It is not an error, it just would be nice (for me) if the threads had a name. I really don't care what it is, but since I know that I have at least one other unnamed thread (my suspiscion is that it is some Java related thread) a name that Identifies the owner in some way would be nice. I.E. MQGet Thread0... MQGet Threadn
