Hi,

Can Datapower XI50 handle Choreography? I know that long running processes using human tasks are not supported. But If I have to call system tasks in sequence without any human intercation, can I build this flow in XI50?

Regards

Kiran

Easy-to-use visual tools are available to assist business analysts in configuring format descriptors, mappings, and message choreography.

Yes I had read that and led me to believe that it does support choreography. However that statement is kind of generic. I want to know specifics if someone has used this feature. I am comparing it directly against Websphere Process Server or Websphere ESB capabilities.

Can we call multiple web services in sequence with transition from one service to the next based on response from previous service and/or a business rule?

Regards

yes it can - hope your xsl skills are good

I've done both chained calls (call service 1 then with the response call service 2) and fan-out calls - call x# of services and aggregate the responses...

like i said it can do both types but you have to be an xsl guru... much cleaner and easier to maintain if you implemented it in WPS or message broker...
