Hi Neil,

MQJExplorer will expire today. Do you plan to release a new (=updated) version or a version with an 'additional' expiry time?

For me as a MQ newbie, it's simply a great and powerful tool, which at the moment does simply everything I need (and MQ explorer doesn't) - it's autostarted and open the whole day. It would be really great if you can provide us with this outstanding piece of software - even if you don't want or don't have the time to continue development!

Best regards from Berlin
Günther

Folks,

As many of you know, I am closely associated with the Websphere MQ brand
of products from IBM and am a frequent contributor to the Q&A at
http://www.mqseries.net.

MQJExplorer was a project of mine to attempt to enhance the already
excellent quality of MQSeries. My goal was to make MQJExplorer the very
best admin and development tooling for MQSeries with the ultimate desire
that IBM would pick it up for distribution (either with the product, as
a simple offering in its own right or else a downloadble SupportPac).
Unfortunately, despite numerous conversations between myself and MQ
Development, not agreement could be reached that would have satisfied
our mutual desires.

What this means is that I will be withdrawing MQJExplorer from
distribution at this time with the sincerest hope that at some future
date it can be resurrected.

I am not releasing source at this time nor can I make available the
technology on an as-is basis. Again, I thank you all for evaluating the
code and the feedback you have sent.

If you consider the functions present in MQJExplorer of high value, I
encourage you to work with your local IBM representative to request IBM
enhancements to the base product to increase your value in your
purchase.

Happy MQing ...

Neil

Hi Folks,

There are a more simple version created as support pack MO71... Well it's not so fine at Mr. Kolbans version, but it works across all platforms using the MQClient and/or MQ-Qmgr.

I hope it helps you folks.

I hope you will find a solution with IBM.

hai

As per sugestion i just tried download MQJExplore but the website down load page is showing like....

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MQJExplorer has been removed from distribution. The intent of the distribution had been to solicit feedback on its quality and applicability and to best determine how it could be distributed. Unfortunately, no mechanism for distribution could be agreed upon. MQJExplorer will continue to be enhanced and it is hoped that at some time in the future it can be productized and made available through one vehicle or another.

We would like to thank all who reviewed and provided comments. Discussions on MQJExplorer, past present and future can be found at the www.mqseries.net website.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Suppose you have any other suggestion pl help me.........

regards,
amar

Call you IBM rep and complain that they are sitting on a great product, and should be releasing it?

I think if enough purchasers of MQ complained, they'd probably listen...

Folks,
With great pleasure, I can report that MQJExplorer is now back. This release sees no timeout and thus, once downloaded, it will be usable for all time.

Comments and feedback on this forum topic please.

Great news Neil!
How did this come about? I've have dozens of people email me about MQJExplorer, and I kept telling them to complain to IBM about it... Anyway, it's great to hear!

MQJExplorer is still formally unsupported. I will be delighted to take questions, comments, wish list items and bug reports but can't give any assurance they will be addressed (or even replied to depending on where I am). If this tool generates demand, I will also probably be looking to find/use a Forum for Q&A on it.

Would it be possible to create a separate MQJExplorer forum on www.mqseries.net?

I'm back in MQ heaven! And to think I'd started writing my own version of this!

This is the best news I've had for weeks!

Hi,

I have downloaded MQJE and installed it on my WinNT machine. Whenever I try to run it, it complains about not finding MQM.DLL. Do I need to have the MQSeries server installed to be able to use this, or should I be able to run it from a client?

Thanks,
MM.
