MQSeries on AS/400.

We used the RPG Reply queue sample program to send(MQPUT) and receive(MQGET) messages. We have a queue for send and one for receive. I was told we need to have a unique message identifier so we can get right msg from the queue. I need to know how to set up a unique msg id that can be used in put and also in get msgs. Does anyone know how to do this?

This is not an "MQ Everyplace" question. A Moderator will move this to an appropriate forum.

You need to set the MQPMO so that it will generate a new message id for you.

There is discussion on how to do this in the Application Programming Guide, available in the MQ Info Center.
