Hi,

Can MQSeries Cluster be deleted? The manual details how to remove queue managers from the cluster but there is no instruction for deleting the empty cluster after the joining queue managers have been removed.

Thanks.

A cluster only exists through the repositories of the cluster member queue managers. When you remove each queue manager from the cluster, his repository for that cluster is deleted. Once all the members have been removed, the cluster is effectively gone because there are no references to it anymore in any of the queue managers...

Hi MQ collegue,
MQ channel is protocol independent. Why is it impossible to configure a cluster containing SNA & IP queue managers?

Greetings,
Mohammed

Mohammed,
Perhaps you'll want to ask this question as a separate thread as it may not get as much attention as a reply to an older question. Unfortunately I can't answer your question. I was under the impression that when you defined your cluster channels, you can set the transport mechanism (just like on static channels) and this could be TCP or anything else that MQSeries supports...
