Hi,

I've defined some msg flows with the MQSI and MQSeries installed on my PC. I now have to start doing development at the client site. How do I import the msg flows that I've defined onto a new PC , e.g. what files do I need to copy onto diskette and where do I copy the files to on the new PC ?

thanks
Alex

Alex,

You can export your message flows using your control center.

To do this, right click on the message flow that you want to export in your control center and select Export from the popup menu. An exported XML file will be created in specified location. You can take that file to the client place and then you can import the same into client's configuration manager by selecting File->Import. Select the message flow that you want to import. Make sure you checkin the message flow after it is imported.

To export/import message sets you can use command mqsimrmimpexp.

You can also use SupportPac IC01 to export/import message flows.

Alex,

I just realised that I might have mistyped the command name for exporting message sets.
The mqsiimpexpmsgset command replaces mqsimrmimpexp command, used in previous versions of MQSI (2.0.1).

Regards,
