When trying to start MQSI v2.1 Control Center from Windows 2000, I get the initial splash screen. However the Control Center doesn't appear.

There are no error messages in the Windows Event viewer, nor are any processes displayed in the task manager.

I am lost, Please help!

Was it working before? did you install any software recently which messed up your CLASSPATH variable?
Make sure MQSeries client for Java file names appear in the beginning of the CLASSPATH. If this does not solve the problem, try enabling the service trace on the control center using command mqsilcc.

Hi !

I've got exactly the same problem as mkhadse !! Yesterday, everything worked fine. But today, I just cannot start the Control Center. The splash window appears and disappears, but the Control Center doesn't start.
I made no changes in my configuration (classpath, ...). Please help !

TIA
Simon

IBM technical support just gave me the reason of the problem.
You have to check the file [root]Toolworking.cfg (where [root] is the path for your WMQI 2.1 installation). In your case, this file is probably empty, for an unknown reason (IBM gave no answer about that).

To make your Control Center work again, you just have to replace your empty file by another working.cfg file, taken from another machine that has a Control Center installed.

Hope it'll work for you just like it worked for me !

I am using MQSI v2.0.2, there were no known changes to the MQSI/classpath. When I started mqsilcc with 2 as debug flag, no output is generated on the screen. Is it generated in some log file?

Also if I run the java command manually after setting the classpath as set in the mqsilcc.bat, I get the following error message:
Cannot load configuration: default

Does anybody have an idea why this is happening? I am unable to use MQSI.
Please help.

Thanks

I assume since time has moved on, this has been resolved?

Codecraft,

Do you mean that this is resolved in MQSI v2.1? I have MQSI v2.0.2 and I am still facing this problem.

Does anybody think that this may be related to the fact that the Control Center is running on Windows 2000 and I am trying to run it in a terminal Service client session? However it should be noted that the same configuration was working earlier and it is working in different environments.
