Is it possible to create a new Header that WMQI will parse along with the exisiting MQ Headers for a message. All of our messages that flow through our MQ system have been prefixed with our own header. It would be nice if the parser could recognize this part of the message as a header and create a node in the tree just like it does for the standard MQ headers.

Is this possible?

WMQI can do just this by developing a custom parser.

I guessed you might say that. Can parsers be written in Java or just C?

Is the code available for the provided parsers, so I could just modify it to add my custom header?

You can write plug-in parsers only in C langauge.
If you have installed examples while installing WMQI on your system, you can refer to <wmqi_root>examplesplug-in directory for some sample code. This code will give you an idea on how to write a new parser.

For more information on how to write plug-in parser, you may refer to Programming Guide (Part 2).
