In the 5.0 version, there were 2 copybooks, server and client. Are there any new updated books for 5.2? Can these existing books be used for 5.2?

As MQ uses either version numbers in the copy or extra 'extended' copies (like MQMDE as extension to the MQMD) for backward compatibility it shoul be no problem.
So it should be possible to build on 5.0 and deploy on 5.2
