We found the following message in our mqm error log for our workflow queue manager:

10/04/04 08:35:29
AMQ6174: The library /var/mqm/exits//FMC_r was not found. The queue manager
will continue without this module.

EXPLANATION:
The dynamically loadable file /var/mqm/exits//FMC_r was not found.
ACTION:
Check that the file exists and is either fully qualified or is in the
appropriate directory.

Does anyone know what this refers to, or whether it causes a problem even though it continues without this file?

Let me know.

I don't have the answer to your question, but we have a similar sitiuation.

We are getting the following error message on a constant basis:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
11/15/11 14:27:39 - Process(1343616.4) User(websphr) Program(java)
Host(cmg-iqddw3p3)
AMQ6174: The dynamically loadable shared library '/var/mqm/exits64/FMC_r' was
not found. The system returned error number '2' and error message 'A file or directory in the path name does not exist.'.

EXPLANATION:
This message applies to UNIX systems. The shared library
'/var/mqm/exits64/FMC_r' was not found.
ACTION:
Check that the file exists, and is either fully qualified or is in the
appropriate director, also check the file access permissions.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

It is filling up the AMQERR log files under /var/mqm/qmgrs/BPIWFQM/errors directory. When this happens, sometimes we lose important error messages.

Does any one have an idea about this library and maybe where we could get it to install it??

There is probably no need.

Are you using JMS, and is the JMS client code level less than 7.0.1.5.. if so, then upgrade the client.

See http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg1IC72897

The above link does not help. It points to a different MQ issue.
You did not post any background info:
is this problem new after you upgraded OS, DB, MQ, MQWF?
what is the service level of the above products?
It seems to be a problem with the correct linking to the libraries that are needed for the 2 phase commit between your DB and MQ.

From the readme:
Quote:
If you want to use Oracle Database 11g Release 2 (11.2), ensure
that you have installed the 32-bit client software, because IBM
WebSphere MQ Workflow needs the 32-bit binaries.
Because the installation directories of the Oracle client and server
installations are different, you must also link the 'lib' directory of the
client installation (which contains 32 bit shared libraries) into the
server installation using the new name 'lib32':
ln -s <Ora Client inst dir>/lib <Ora Server inst dir>/lib32

Similar rules are in place for other operating systems - read the Installation and Configuration Guide for your operating system and Database provider how to link the database switch files.

In any case, this message is serious and needs to be repaired otherwise you do not have transactional behavior.
