Hello,

I have a little problem with our new mq-cluster. I hope you can help me.

my problem is:
We have an java-application, which works on the plattform unix. There we want to install a mq-cluster, so that the messages distribute to the different maschines. On the plattfom z/OS we have an standalone queuemanager, which sends the messages to the cluster.

UNIX....................z/OS

QMGR_CL1
=repos..........\
=gateway.......\.......Channel_1 (XMIT_1)
.........................\
......................... QMGR_A (send messages)
........................../
........................./.......Channel_2 (XMIT_2)
......................./
QMRG_CL2
=repos
=gateway

I don' t know, if we allow to integrate the standalone queuemanager in the cluster.

So I have two transmissionqueues on the standalone queuemanager and each of them have a direct channel to one of the cluster queuemanagers.
Can I configure mq (QMGR_A) so that the distribution of the messages go automatically?
Can I work with queuemanageralias in a standalone queuemanager?

I know two solutions:
    - I take the standalone queuemanager in the cluster.
    - I write an application which distribute the messages to the clusterqueuemanager.

can you tell me what's the fastest and most simple version or do you have an other?

Yes you have to make the z/OS QMGR part of the cluster.
