Hi,
"If the broker
and the Configuration Manager do not share a queue manager, you must
define the channels and transmission queues that support communications
between the two queue managers."
Can you please specify what resources have to be defined for the two queue managers to communicate as specified above. I mean exacltly what channels and queues have to be created in each of the queue managers.??
Had a bit of problem with this myself when I first went to MQSI v2.x. It didn't help that the MQSIv2.01 install documentation example of creating the intercommunication is downwright wrong... I'm adding to Eddies post as it's not as simple as creating a normal server-receiever channel pairs, no remote queue definitions are used.
On the broker QMGR you create a transmission queue with the same name as the configmgrs QMGR.
On the configmgr you create a transmission queue with the same name as the brokers QMGR.
Create a sender channel and receiver channels on both QMGRS as usual.
Obviously you'll need to set up listners on both queue managers and ensure that the relevant ports are included in the connection name proprerty of the sender channels.
