In order to do performance testing for my customer, I need to subtract the time stored in DB2 with the current timestamp.
The timestamp is stored in a column with datatype character and when DB2 returns the value , it is in the format of
yyyy-mm-dd-hh.mm.ss..
I have to cast the value returned by DB2 as timestamp before I can subtract it from the current time.
MQSI fails the cast operation saying that it is not in the right format.
I think MQSI expects yyyy-mm-dd hh.mm.ss
The DB2 one has an extra '-' in between dd & hh which caused the error.

Any suggestion on how I can do this ?
I think I can make it into the proper format before doing the casting. But is there a better way to do it.
Why there is such incompatibility between DB2 and MQSI ?
