To add a new queue manager to an existing cluster: In addition to defining its cluster-receiver channel, I have gotten into the habit lately of explicitly defining a cluster-sender channel to EACH of the two full repository queue managers in the cluster.

Any adverse affects in doing so ?

As far as I've seen the way it works threr are no differnce in the way MQSeries works if it's an autodefined or a explicit defined cluster-sender channel when we're running. What happens when a new QueueManager is joining a cluster is it automaticly defines Cluster-sender channels to all the remaining full repository QueueManagers in the cluster.

As I see it the advantage of defining Cluster-Sender channels to both full repository QueueManagers is in case of issuing "REFRESH CLUSTER" and the explicit defined ClusterQueueManager that hosts the full repository is unavailable, now the QueueManager can try the other repository QueueManager...

The only difference I know of is that if you define the channel manually, the definition will remain forever. However if the channel is created dynamically by the queue manager, its definition will only exist as long as the channel remains active within a 90 day period.
