Just created broker on Solaris 2.8 with DB2 Client connecting to a dataserver on another machine. It starts okay. I added it to the topology ok. Deployed to broker and get error messages in the W2K event log and the same messages in the /var/adm/messages. Yet the broker and dataflow engine procs are running on the Solaris box.

klarmann 4732 4731 0 17:32:40 ? 0:01 bipbroker MQSI_SOLARIS_BROKER

And I was able to put a message to the queue 'SYSTEM.BROKER.ADMIN.REPLY' on queue manager 'MQSI_SAMPLE_QM' as user mqsiuser on the W2K machine.

The problem was user permissions. I got past this problem by creating a user mqsiuid on Solaris, deleting and then recreating the broker under this id.
Actually ended up deleting all the components, configuration manager, QMs, etc and recreating everything. It's all running fine now.
