Hello ,

I have 3 scripts ( qmgr.sc ) which I have put on my solaris server . This is the first time I am working on Unix platform for MQ series . Please let me know how to use these scripts and some good sites where I can find information regarding them .

Regards ,
Manish Arya .

Hi Manish,

It would be helpful to now what is in those scripts

BTW - is this your first time on Unix, or first time on Unix with MQ? I've assumed first time on Unix. If not, reading "Quick Beginnings for Solaris" and the System Administratio manual for MQ will be helpful to give you the required info.

If they are MQ object definitions (DEFINE QLOCAL and stuff like that) than at
the command prompt, from a user ID that is in the "mqm" group (say, the "mqm" user), do:

runmqsc < (Name of your script file) > (Optional file to receive output)

If you don't have the output file bit tagged on, the output will appear on your screen. If the queue manager is not the default one, then you need to use "runmqsc (Name of your Queue Manager)" above. The "<" and ">" direct where the input and output to and from the program runmqsc go to.

Hope this helps!
