We currently have 2 solaris servers each hosting 2 qmgrs v5.2. All 4 qmgrs belong to a single cluster. One qmgr on each server contains a full repository of the cluster. Can we upgrade mq on one server to v5.3 and restart the server and qmgrs, thus rejoining the cluster? Does the cluster care that there are different versions of mq qmgrs in the cluster? Operations would prefer to upgrade these servers over two separate evenings.
You must ensure that all of your full repositories are version 5.3 when mixing 5.2 and 5.3 in the same cluster, AND you are using SSL anywhere in the cluster.
5.2 repositories will get corrupted, and be non-functional, if you add a 5.3 queue manager that uses SSL. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general.
