Hello,
While connecting to the config manager using Control Center I am consistently getting the following error message
"BIP1350E: The current operation has timed out.
One or more requests have been sent to the Configuration Manager to process the current operation, but no reply has been received for the last request sent.

Either your request has queued up behind a long-running request by another user, or the Configuration Manager has stopped. Check that it is up and running then retry the operation. Because the link to the Configuration Manager is via MQSeries, it is important to note that the original operation may have fully completed, or have partly completed, even though no reply was received in the allotted time. The results of the retried operation should indicate this, and will determine subsequent actions. For example, if a check-in operation timed out then the update may have occurred, but the object may still be locked. A subsequent check-in would then fail with a locked response. The action would then be to unlock the object."
I have checked my config manager is running.
Please could anyone help me out with this?
Regards,
Hari Iyer.

Hi,
Have u installed the MQ88 Java client properly...Can u just chk the Application log there u might have the more specific error. Just check the CLASSPATH and see whether com.ibm.mq.jat is present in the CLASSPATH and also chk that mqjbnd02.dll is there in LIBPATH

I don't think you have to set anything in your LIBPATH.

Hari,

Have you looked at your NT/2000 server for any error? Do you see any error in your eventviewer? Are you the only user using this MQSI server or are there are other users too? Are they able to connect to the Configuration Manager?

Regards,
Kiran

Hello,
It is working! Actually, I also had IBM Visual Age installed onto my pc. As per the Administration Guide it is specified that in the classpath setings the IBM MQSeries jar files, bin and the lib should be placed prior to the Visual Age.

Regards,
Hari Iyer.
