Hi,

I am storing the Input XML file into DB2 database using DB Insert Node.
One of the messages got routed to the failure terminal of the database insert node.

I have checked the system log, db2alert.log and db2diag.log. But there is no indication of a database error at the time the message was processed.

The table in which the XML is being inserted doesn't have a primary key, therefore there is no question of primary key violation. MQSI and the db2 database is running on an AIX box.

Does anybody have an idea, under what circumstances the message will be routed to a failure node?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Your message will porpagate to failure terminal if,

(text from Control Center help)
"A failure is detected during the computation. If you have checked 'Treat warnings as errors' on the node properties, database warning messages will cause the message to be propagated to this node even though the processing might have completed successfully."

Did you check your event viewer/system log for any error message? Can you run this test again? IF so, try printing ExceptionList in a trace node.

Regards,
Kiran

I did check the system log and there were no errors/warmining/information message in it.

I cannot reproduce this scenario. It has happened in production environment the first time in 3-4 months.

Are there any DB2 logs that might have any information on why this might have happened?

Forgot to add:
'Treat warnings as error' checkbox is not checked.
