Keys to this Position:
1. This is a Senior level MQ Admin position. Must be highly knowledgable of Websphere MQI. This system is at the core of the trading system. Must be able to hit the ground running.
2. Must also be knowledgable of Veritas Cluster Server, Unix and NT. The position involves integration of Weblogic Clustering, MQ Clustering and Veritas Clustering.
3. Candidate must have very good communication skills - verbal and writing. Must be able to work independantly and be able to manage up - knowing when to escalate issues. Must be a good team player.
OVERVIEW
This is a new position for an Application Infrastructure Admistrator supporting the Websphere MQ infrastructure. The successful candidate will join a team of software technology administrators and developers in supporting the infrastructure needs of the Information Systems development teams. This position supports a key software infrastructure component for the new Global Trading System as well as other projects.
DESCRIPTION
The candidate will form strong working relationships with the development teams and with their peers in the core technology and server groups in architecting, implementing, monitoring and maintaining this critical component of the Client Information Systems Architecture. Candidates must be self-motivated, quality focused, and willing to work in an energetic, fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum 7 years Websphere MQ architecture and administration
• Minimum 5 years Websphere MQ Business Integration Message Broker (MQSI) architecture and administration
• Experience with MQ clustering and high availability configuration
• Minimum 8 years Unix experience including Unix scripting/perl
• Sun Solaris 8 in depth knowledge and performance analysis skills
• Microsoft Windows 2000 Server
• System Fault tolerance/Redundancy - Versed in design methodologies and operational processes related to fault tolerance, load balancing, system redundancy, and disaster recovery strategies. Experience with Veritas Cluster Server and EMC SRDF a plus.
• Oracle database
• J2EE/JMS integration with Websphere MQ required. BEA Weblogic integration highly desirable.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent. MS/MBA is a plus
HIGHLY DESIRABLE
• Java/J2EE/JMS programming experience
• Knowledge of XML messages and standard protocols such as SWIFT and FIX
• Websphere MQ Administrator Certification
• BMC Patrol MQ Knowledge Module, MQ/NOC integration
• Knowledge of Websphere MQ/LDAP integration for security infrastructure
