Hi All,

Does anyone have an experience in sending messages from stored procedure of Oracle to MQ?

I've Done this type of thing in the following manner.

Called stored procedure via pro*c in a C program which also interacts with the MQSeries queue manager through MQI API. Effectively this is a pull rather than a push though. I don't think you can interact with MQSeries from stored procedures, however let me know if you've found a way!

Thanks

Jamie

Hi Michael,

have a look at SupportPac MAOI.

"This SupportPac provides the Oracle PL/SQL procedure definitions to allow MQSeries API calls to be made from an Oracle PL/SQL program. All API calls are defined with the exception of MQINQ and MQSET"

Hi Rainer,

I've checked it. It works but is not supported by IBM. My company doesn't like lack of support. We want a full-functional commercial tool. Have yuo heard about one?

Regards,
Mike

Hi Mike,

I am not an oracle developer, so I can't look into the doc library from oracle. But oracle has it's own message broker which can be connected to MQSeries. If you have access to the doc library, you can search there for an answer.

Regards,

Rainer
