Hi people,

This problem happened doing a migration of a MSCS Cluster 5.2.1 for 5.3.5
The instalation completes sucessfuly, but the MSCS do not recognize that the new instalation, and do not create the resource type "IBM MQSERIES MSCS".
I´ve found out that two DLL´s arent correctly registered(amqmclrn.dll and amqmclxn.dll) and i've tried to regiter them manually, but i cannot do it because the DLL amqmclxn.dll.

If somebody have a clue about this problem I would apreciated a lot.

Thanks,

"haregtyp /r" registers the MSCS resource dll, which is what you are after.

In a fantastic feat of organization, all the MSCS docs are installed in the info center, so once you have the product installed you can read up on what you need to do to get it installed...

Anyway, if you have it installed somewhere, look in the info center as it includes setup instructions, including this info.

I thought that the Info Center (as of 5.3) was a separate install that you had to get from the "Documentation" CD as opposed to the "Server" or "Client" CD.

At least, that's what I remember the last time I had to do a new install.

Well I'm no expert in this, but you get a cut down version of the info center with the product install, or can install all the manuals etc from the doc cd. I have only ever seen the MSCS stuff in the cut down version (chm) with the install but I cant say I have gone looking for it either

Thanks JasonE and JeffLowrey,

The command haretype solved the problem. It's register the resource again and no more problems.

Thank you all
