Hi,

I posted this question about year ago at the listserv, with no replies. I decided I'll give it another go here:

Has anyone ever tried to compile the sample DLQ handler which comes with the C samples? There's a missing file, amqoexta.h, which just doesn't exist anywhere.

Is it just me, or did no one ever actually compile this sample?

-Roy.

Roy, apparently this is a known problem and am surprised this was not fixed sooner ... a workaround described by IBM Defect support follows:

SOLUTION:
The work-around for this problem is:
1) replace amqoexta.h with amqodtha.h
2) comment out header amqxdvha.h from amqodqpa.c
3) add macro "#define AMQ_LONG_MAX LONG_MAX" in amqodqpa.c

Note: LONG_MAX is defined in limits.h

Neil, I'm just curious but do you have access to some sort of support database or do you just look through the APAR descriptions to find this kind of information?

As an IBM employee, I have secure and authorized access to IBM's internal defect databases. These are indexed and comprehensive so I can perform quick searches on key words.

Thanks kolban, it worked like a charm.
Can you use your all-mighty powers at IBM to make them fix this problem in the next CSD?
