We are planning to build CICD for ACE and DataPower for a huge retail company. We got a request to assess the need to include MQ (and MFT) as well within the pipeline.

But, I know that MQ and MFT objects are not frequently created (it's mostly one time creation of MQ objects and MFT agents within the environment).

My question is, does it make sense to include MQ and MFT within the CICD Pipeline? If Yes, how could I better make use of it? If not, what are the other alternatives to manage MQ and MFT (considering they both have a low rate of changes, i.e., one-time built and used throughout)

I think you should take a look at the Production Deployment Guides IBM have put out, which includes this one on MQ covering CICD with ArgoCD, Tekton etc: https://production-gitops.dev/guides/cp4i/mq/overview/architecture/

Use the table of contents on the left to explore it, and you will see details on using gitops pipelines to build QMgrs and Queues etc and much more: https://production-gitops.dev/guides/cp4i/mq/qmgr-pipeline/topic1/
