Customer just went from MQ v7.0 to MQ v9.1.2 CD and is now upgrading to MQ v9.2 LTS

They use Siteminder and wanted to know id anyone else is at v9.2 and are using Siteminder. Just a raise of hands.

If 100 people raised their hands how would that make them feel?

If no-one raised their hands how would that make them feel?

I had not heard of Siteminder (so I am not raising my hand) so I googled it (as you do). It is either:-
  • Symantec SiteMinder
    an identity and authentication system
  • SiteMinder
    A hotel management platform

Might be worth saying which of these it is you are interested in.

Regardless though. If the question they really want an answer to is "Are we OK to use SiteMinder with MQ V9.2?" they probably should ask the company that supports SiteMinder to see if it is supported.

Cheers,
Morag

Very surprised @ you not knowing this. Most customers I have been at for the last 15 years have mentioned this in one for or another. Guess hiding out there is working!!! LOL

Symantec SiteMinder
an identity and authentication system

......and yes, they would care if 100 people raised their hand.

I'm with Morag - never heard of it in regard to MQ.

Does MQ treat it like any other PAM do you know?
