Context :
MQ Server version 8.0.0.9 on AIX
JVM IBM Java 1.8. Program opening up to 240-260 connections in IPC mode (local Qmanager, no channel used).
Sometimes, randomly, lost of connection on a couple of queues

ERROR 19.07.2019 00:06:21,231 [Thread-142] (MqConnection.java:146) - Error (MQJE001: Completion Code '2', Reason '2009'.) getting message message:

At time of error, a FDC is created
Probe Type :- HALT6109
Probe Severity :- 1
Probe Description :- AMQ6109: An internal WebSphere MQ error has occurred.
FDCSequenceNumber :- 0
Arith1 :- 11 (0xb)
Comment1 :- SIGSEGV: invalid address permissions(2808)
Comment2 :- Exception occured within MQ context without xihTHREAD

As the program could open more than 255 connections from the same process, suspected "max handle per process"
made :
alter qmgr MAXHANDS(350)

don't seems solving the issue.

Any clue about where to look to understand what's happening ?

Kind regards,

Frodon

The minimal information supplied here doesn't look obviously consistent in that threads within the amqzlaa0 process should almost always have an xihTHREAD context (except for a tiny amount of time during thread initialization/termination).

Unless you've deployed any exits that could run code inside the amqzlaa0 process (e.g. WLM exit or user written OAM) then this looks like an internal MQ issue, is there some reason you haven't gone down the PMR route ?
