Hi ,
I am trying to insert Japanese characters into oracle DB from IIB using compute node. But I am getting Junk character(square) in DB for Japanese.
The DB I have installed locally in windows and using default XE DB coming with the installation.
I am running from my windows machine locally. Any input how can I insert Japanese characters into DB from IIB. I am able to insert the data manually and able to see the characters and even able to retrieve the characters using select statement from esql without. But insert is giving this issue

Compute node.
DECLARE insertData CHARACTER 'INSERT INTO order1 (site_id,order_id,order_temp_id,inquiry_num,customer_id,order_name01) VALUES(…)
Passthru(InsertData)

Why are you using a PASSTHRU rather than an ESQL INSERT?

What steps have you taken to tell the broker to insert Japanese rather than the Latin characters of the OS?

(This differs from selecting them, when the database will itself tell the broker this is Japanese)

Or put another way, how are you inserting them manually from a Latin based OS and have you replicated that in the ESQL?
