Before I sit down to write something.

Is there anything that either using the MQ 9 System topics, or using the Statistics & Event queues, that will take the data from those parse it, and write it to a database of some kind?

Sample program AMQSMON is aware of PCF event & stats messages and writes to standard out.
We wrote our own PCF stats message processor that generates metrics for a Carbon / Graphite DB.

In the upcoming weeks I want to try to collect this information via Prometheus. Might forward it to Grafana but Kibana is also an option. If you're interested I can share the results. If you're having a solution then I'm interested as well.

Check out MQEV. It will collect and parse events and Accounting and Statistics data from MQ, and let you run all sorts of queries against that data.

You don't say what you want to do with this data. "Put it in a database" is not really an end task.

Cheers,
Morag

Look at https://github.com/ibm-messaging/mq-metric-samples for prometheus/grafana using system topics
