We are using Windows 2003 server with MQ 6.0.2.12 . We got queue manager down unexpectedly and got the below FDC file generated.

We don't see any disk space issues. Please advise.

Both that OS and MQ version are out of service, so for what reason has that installation not been migrated? I ask merely out of curiosity.

Were you able to restart the queue manager after the issue? If not, did you have to reboot the server before the queue manager restarted?

Bearing in mind the major error code of hrcE_MQLO_UNEXPECTED_OS_ERROR, I think you're on a wing and a prayer with this one.

Yes , it is out of support same has been communicated to Client, they have agreed for this risk.

We were able to start the queue manager and it is running fine now. We are analyzing the root cause for the issue.

Can you please let me know what this error means and do we need any remedy for this at OS level.

Agreed what? That their infrastructure could crash and burn down around their ears, and possibly have no recovery?

And if the root cause is an OS issue, for which there is no remedy available, what then? Wait for it to happen again, possibly in an unrecoverable state?

What the error means is quite clear, there was an unexpected OS error. As to whether you need to remedy this at OS level is a question for Microsoft - oh, wait, it's an out-of-support OS, so good luck getting any answer from them other than "buy our latest shiny OS".

Look at the MQ function call sequence in the FDC file. Near the end (where hrcE_MQLO_UNEXPECTED_OS_ERROR may appear), there may be a call to an OS or C library function, and an error return code.

What error did you discover in the Win system log?

Is there any info in the qmgr's error logs at around this time?
Look at the various Windows logs using eventvwr.exe
