I would like to know if there is any way ( other than output.log and without restarting the agent) to check the JVM heap size of MQ MFT agent? The output.log write is circular in nature due to which I am unable to find the heap size that has been allocated to an agent.

You can take a Javacore or the agent’s JVM using a “kill -3” command. This will tell you the maximum heap size specified via -Xmx, the current heap size and the amount used.

Its usually pretty safe to restart an MFT agent at any time. If there are transfers in progress, it will automatically recover and continue them.

If you are on UNIX, ps -ef | grep ftsrv shows -Xmx1024M
