i am trying to make a http call using the httprequest node, the call that i am making is to another flow in the same EG.

the URL i use on the http request node is

http://localhost:7080/j2c

i know this port works because i can hit this via postman and debug to make sure my second floe works and accepts http request.

Now in the main flow when i make the httprequest call, i am not building any httpinput header or anything, when i debug i only see OutputRoot.XMLNSC, there is no header, the properties header is also empty.

i keep getting this error

"A Web Service request has detected a SOCKET error whilst invoking a web service located at host &1, on port &2, on path &3"

Do i have to build a http header before calling the http request node?

I created another flow which is much simpler flow [mqinput -->httprequest--mqoutput]

here again, i deleted the MQMD on the output root and only have an outputRoot.XMLNSC to mimic what happens in the other scenario. This time i am able to invoke the other flow which is the web service provider flow.

Can you please help with what i could me missing here?

in the exception list, i also see 443, is that port, wonder if it trying port 443 when i have explicitly used 7080?

Please help. thanks.

Probably better (and cathartic) to post the error and it's solution here for the benefit of future readers.

You're not the first person to make a stupid coding error, nor will you be the last.

We promise not to laugh.
