Is it possible to use F5 loadbalancer with Websphere MQ? I understood that F5 will work if used between a MQ Client(source) and MQ servers(target) but what I am looking here is whether it will work between MQ server(Source) and 2 MQ servers(Target)?-> Will this solution work?

Source QM1 --> F5---> Target QM2
----> Target QM2

Both target queue managers are having same queue manager name but installed on different AIX machines.

No. The channel sequence numbers will hose up.

If you hadn't made this stupid decision, you could use an MQ cluster which is designed to handle exactly the scenario you describe (traffic from a source queue manager being distributed across multiple target queue managers).

But in this scenario, an MQ cluster will fail. To a point where you'll need to remove MQ to delete the queue managers. You cannot, absolutely cannot, have 2 queue managers with the same name in an MQ cluster. Even the administration will go wibble.

That's why having queue managers with the same name in the same site is a bad idea; if one day you need to use a cluster, you can't.
