Hi ,
when i try to use the blob message as hex value in my esql ,it gives the following error in the event log;

Quote:
BIP2925E: (, 12.32) : A byte array literal must have an even number of digits.

This is most likely to have been caused by attempting to use a X'' literal with an odd number of digits (0-9, A-F, a-f) between the quotes.

Ensure that the literal has an even number of digits.

For example,
For the word apple i am using as
DECLARE MSG BLOB X'6170706C6'

Can anybody suggest me where i am wrong?

Thanks in advance

Regards,
Rohit

i think that by the time, you already have solved. But if anyone check this thread, the problem is that you are passing a odd number of characters to be casted to blob.

Blob holds even numbers only. if you are making blob manipulation, you will also have to complete octets and manipulations to even after math manipulation.

The first message contains the wrong number of characters:
wrong 61 70 70 6C 6
right 61 70 70 6C 65
