Yes, it can be guaranteed. As I said before, this is by design. Only one application will reply, the other will just receive the copy of the message flow.

We don't want to use different methods of correlation. That is the sole point of this exercise. We want to get a copy of message stream without the need of altering our applications. If we could force topics/subs to retain the msgid, it would be a perfect solution.

In this case you need to get a little bit inventive in your pub/sub and make sure the subscription is not received by correlID (the default case). If the sender then sets the flag to generate a correlid and checks for that (minor change) you might be able to get away with it...

Why don't you have a look at MQ Message Replication. Its whole purpose is to clone a message which includes MsgId.

We have our in house solution for this case, but it requires an active element to exist, and so we were checking out pure WMQ solution to this problem.

Ya know if you have IIB, a simple flow could do this. You could even have the cheapest version do this (One node and one EG/Integration Server).
