Hi All,

I am a newbie to IIB.

I need to read a file using dynamic values(filepath, filename) retrieved from DB and set the value in InputFileNode's Directory and file name.

I have tried the promoted property but unable to set the dynamic values.
was able to set static values.

Is there any way to achieve this objective.

Any help on this regard is appreciative.

Thanks
Manjunath

No. The File Input node is a "left end" node (one which is the start point of a flow) and so logically you can't pass values to it from another flow, because it's not part of any other flow.

Use a different process to copy the file retrieved from the database to the directory being scanned by the FileInput node.

Have the process which copies to the file to a random directory with a random name and then records it in a database into a fixed directory being scanned by the FileInput node.

Use the FileRead node to process this file and cross your fingers the file isn't so large it blows the flow out of memory.

Other solutions are undoubtedly possible and may be better.
