All,
I am trying to create a configurable service using the below command.

mqsicreateconfigurableservice BROKER-c UserDefined -o TestingQuotes1 -n doublequotes -v ""double""

I am not able to see the double quotes in the value. It shows under single quotes only.

[mqm@xxxxxxxx ~]$ mqsireportproperties BROKER-c UserDefined -o TestingQuotes1 -r

UserDefined
TestingQuotes1
doublequotes1='double'

BIP8071I: Successful command completion.

Thanks In advance.

Hi

Well you could try and figure the required command shell escaping to get the quotes passed though to the command, or more reliably use the fact that the "mqsichangeproperties" command allows the use of a "-p <path to file with value>" as an alternative to "-v <value>".

So you then have

Code:

mqsicreateconfigurableservice TESTNODE -c UserDefined -o TestingQuotes1
BIP8071I: Successful command completion.

mqsichangeproperties TESTNODE -c UserDefined -o TestingQuotes1 -n doublequotes -p quotes.txt
BIP8071I: Successful command completion.

mqsireportproperties TESTNODE -c UserDefined -o TestingQuotes1 -r

UserDefined
  TestingQuotes1
    doublequotes='"In Quotes"'

Note that the mqsichangeproperties command will use the entire content of the file provided in the -p parameter, so ensure you save it without a line ending unless you want that control charter as part of the value.

HTH
