Hi,

Hopefully this will be a simple question!

I've been playing around with the IIB REST API, creating swagger documents and importing these into the IIB.

I've noticed what a request body only seems to be honoured by the IIB when using a HTTP POST, with the toolset dropping the JSON message when using GET, DELETE. Is this expected behaviour?...and can it be overridden?

Many thanks

I'm confused.

You're saying that you are trying to send data in the HTTP body with a GET?

And delete?

That's not an IIB question, that's an HTTP question. REST is based on HTTP. IIB exposes HTTP operations in a RESTful manner. But it doesn't change the nature of those operations.

In true REST, only POST and PUT commands (of the major verbs) can have a message body.

A lot of REST tooling supports this also (as you have found).

If you need a message body then you shouldn't be making a GET call.
