Somebody corect me if I'm wrong but with IBM MQ JMS clients that use an async JMS Message listener you cannot ack the message in any other thread than the one that received it.

Has this changed in any more recent versions?

Why are you asking? I thought the standard JMS behavior was to acknowledge at the session level ...
Are you not using a transactional set up where the session provides the transactional border??
