Hello everyone,

I'm seeing an issue with a few auto defined clussdr channels not starting after an upgrade to a higher version, they are just stuck in INITIALIZING state.

I noticed there is no RQMNAME attribute for the channel and the CONNAME attribute has a remote server hostname, while other running channels have IP address and port number.

dis chs(TO.ABC)
1 : dis chs(TO.ABC)
AMQ8417: Display Channel Status details.
CHANNEL(TO.ABC) CHLTYPE(CLUSSDR)
CONNAME(abc.company) CURRENT
RQMNAME( ) STATUS(INITIALIZING)
SUBSTATE( ) XMITQSYSTEM.CLUSTER.TRANSMIT.QUEUE)

error in the log when I try to stop and start the channel
AMQ9002: Channel 'TO.ABC is starting.

AMQ9999: Channel 'TO.ABC to host '????' ended abnormally.

EXPLANATION:
The channel program running under process ID 1234 for channel 'TO.ABC'
ended abnormally. The host name is '????'; in some cases the host name cannot
be determined and so is shown as '????'.

Upgrade to a new version of what? From what?

Did you search google for the error? Was there an FDC?

from 8.0.0.4 to 8.0.0.6
no, there's no fdc and there's nothing logging on the remote qmgr.
