Hello
I'm investigating monitoring events and the XML in the mon profile that gets generated from events defined in the Toolkit.
In order to gen a profile from a newly deployed bar, I need to remove the profile that I had previously applied to the msgflow (the Pager sample in my case), using:

I can't find the command that in effect would set '-m' to null.
For now, I have used the CMP Exerciser to set the property "This/monitoringProfle" to "", which then enables the events in thebar to work. I'm sure there must be an mqsi command and arguments to do this.

Have you tried
If you are trying to switch off monitoring entirely then you need to change the state, not the name of the profile.
If you are trying to set the name of the profile to the empty string then I would expect -m "" to work. That will have the effect of leaving monitoring in whatever state it was in before, but the properties will come from the settings in the BAR file (i.e. the Monitoring tab on the node properties) instead of being overridden by the monitoring profile. |

Many thanks. Using the "" value for -m worked.
I guess I could have tried that, given that's what I used in the Exerciser. It just didn't feel right.
